Aabco Propane is a rapidly growing privately owned and operated company supplying propane and propane services to the S. W. Ontario region. Located in Tecumseh Ontario, it was established in April 1990 by its founder and current owner Andy Burton.

Prior to this Andy Burton was the owner of Windsor Welding Supply located in Windsor Ontario. Primarily a gas and welding supply company it was sold to Air Products, which is now operating under the name of Weldcoa.

With a number of years in the gas supply business Andy saw a need for a locally owned propane supply company in Essex County. A Company who could identify with its customer base and provide the personal service they demanded. An organization that would be reliable, service oriented and dedicated to safety.

Aabco Propane began operation out of a 10'X20' trailer, on rented land, off county road #42, in Tecumseh. Andy provided the sales, service and deliveries. Through Andy's perseverance it didn't take long before Aabco had grown to a point where one person could not handle the entire workload any longer. New employees had to be hired to deliver cylinders and bulk propane, to its expanding customer list.

With storage of only 12000 litres of propane on site and limited storage available on the bulk delivery truck it was apparent that Aabco would have to move. After years of searching, its present location was found, at 5475 D'Cocco Court in the northeast corner of Tecumseh. A parcel consisting of two lots on one acre of land. The deal closed on August 31/1999 and building commenced the next day. With the aide of dedicated employees and reliable contractors, the premises opened for business on December 15, 2000.

Aabco Propane now has ten full-time employees and boasts a storage capacity of 30,000 USWG of propane. They have also doubled their bulk delivery equipment. Aabco Propane Inc., also added more cylinder delivery units to it's fleet and have implemented a training center for various propane courses.
